Hazel Walker, a qualified professional business and personal development coach and Women’s Enterprise Ambassador, one of nine coaches selected by the London Development Agency to deliver their pioneering Business Leadership Coaching scheme. See http://www.redbirdcoaching.co.uk

Hazel Walker is a professional business and personal development coach with a 100% success rate and as a director of www.redbird coaching.co.uk, she bases her coaching on her genuine belief that whatever your problem, the answer is somewhere inside you.

She is a member of the government-backed Women’s Enterprise Ambassadors scheme, set up to inspire and encourage women to become entrepreneurs and, as part of her commitment to the scheme, she coaches free any woman who is within six months of business start-up.

She is also a member of the London Development Agency’s pioneering Business Leadership Development Programme, which promotes coaching business owners as a means of benefiting their companies.

With coaching colleague Jan Grover she runs Power Confidence, a series of confidence coaching workshops and Power Lunch, business coaching workshops which enable new and developing business owners to identify their barriers to success, turn their pipedreams into reality, create realistic action plans and manage their time effectively.

Her experience as a journalist honed her investigative and communication skills, while her teaching experience first set her on the coaching road. “I taught media at a further education college and was personal tutor to more than 40 students at a time,” she says. “The students themselves invariably had the answers to their problems – my role was to enable them to access those answers. Which is how coaching works, whether it’s to develop a business or calibrate your work/life balance.”

Hazel trained formally as a coach with The Coaching Academy, www.the-coaching-academy.co.uk, the longest-established coach training company in the UK, and earned a Diploma with a Distinction.
