Honestly, it works!! I have started my new year with freshness, enthusiasm and a sense of excitement about the potential that the year will bring! (This was NOT how January was for me!)
Time for you to embrace the new year, have a fresh start and take some time to focus on what you want to achieve this year.

Many of you will have an idea of what you want to achieve this year in your personal and business life.
But have you WRITTEN IT DOWN?
Have you taken this wonderful thought – the emerging concept of where you want to be at the end of the year and actually written it down?
Writing the goal out suddenly makes the notion tangible. Tangibility will make it much more likely to happen.
And once you get the goal out of your brain onto a piece of paper, consider how specific it is.
What statement best represents your goal?
“To make more money in my business”
“To increase revenue by 20% to £120,000”
Can you see the difference between the two?
The first feels like a vague hope whereas the second example is a specific statement of achieving something that can be measured. It is tangible!
Think about your situation – which type of goal lights your fire?
Which goal will encourage you to be bold, take those steps you know you must do to get business growth? More importantly, imagine how you will feel at the end of the year when you have actually achieved that specific goal you targeted?
In my experience of working with clients over the last 8 years, I have found that the more tangible and specific their goal is, the more likely they will achieve it.
To heighten your chances of achieving your goals…
- Get it out of your head onto a piece of paper
- Make the goal tangible
- Be specific – get granular about what the goal represents
Live it, Love it, Nurture it!
Once you write the goal down – review it daily!
By reviewing your goal daily and thinking about what it will be like when you achieve it you will ignite the excitement and passion of the goal! This will help to fuel your energy for the day ahead and it will also create a very strong neural pathway in your brain. Think of this neural pathway as your secret weapon in achieving your goals.
Let me explain – ever noticed that when you decided to buy a certain type of car that this car suddenly seems to be everywhere on the road? Well, they haven’t started making more of those cars nor has the dealer had a massive sales promotion but your brain has been programmed to look out for them, so you start noticing that car more.
Imagine if you were to do this with your goals! By imprinting them in your brain, you will start to hear and see more opportunities and possibilities to achieve them!
Everyday for FIVE minutes, get your written goal out, ponder it, imagine it’s happened and say it out loud. Start to imprint it in your brain.
Take your opportunity to grab hold of the year gain, create an inspiring tangible goal and write it down! Connect with it daily and see what happens!
